Program Properties

To invoke this dialog window press Shift+Ctrl+P on keyboard or choose the File | Program properties... command of main menu.

This dialog window is used to tune up RSS Captor. The window has five tabs

General

The «General» tab is used for setting the general properties of RSS Captor.

Remember window size and position checkbox allows RSS Captor to remember the size and position of its main window.

Show splash screen at start up checkbox allows RSS Captor to show splash screen when it starts. Splash screen contains important information about RSS Captor and start up process.

Run minimized checkbox allows RSS Captor to start with minimized main window. Please remember that RSS Captor minimizes to the system tray.

Run when Windows starts checkbox allows RSS Captor to start every time you turn on the computer.

Show tip of the day at start up checkbox allows RSS Captor to show «Tip of the day» window every time you start up RSS Captor.

Language

The «Language» tab is used for setting languages of RSS Captor's interface and RSS Captor's help system. Please remember that the new laguage settings will be used after the restart of RSS Captor.

Proxy

The «Proxy» tab is used for setting the proxy details. Check the Use proxy checkbox and type in the Proxy server and Proxy port parameters if you want to use proxy. Please remember that you can use individual proxy settings for each subscribed feed.

Play sound if new messages detected

Using the «Play sound if new messages detected» tab you can tune up the sound notifications of RSS Captor. You want RSS Captor to play some sound when it receives new messages check the Play sound if new messages detected checkbox and choose the sound file by clicking the Open button. The Play button allows to play sound immediately for checking purposes.

Date and time

The «Date and time» tab is used for setting date and time conversion. The RSS standart requires to publish GMT date on feeds, but some feeds do not follow the standard. So, you can ajust the date and time as you want.

The No date/time conversion radiobutton leaves the date and time as is.

The Convert to Greenwich Mean Time radiobutton converts all dates and times to GMT.

The Convert to local timezone radiobutton converts all dates and times to your local timezone.

OK button closes this widow and saves new settings.

Cancel button closes this widow without saving changes. Help button invokes this page of help file.
